POWELL, Ohio--()--Click4Care, a leading provider of care management software for payors, today announced that its award-winning care management system can now fully accommodate ICD-10 data code sets and extract information from ICD-10-coded claims data. Its robust, user-friendly system also offers the unique ability to simultaneously use ICD-10 and ICD-9. Thanks to Click4Care’s agile technology platform, its payor clients will be able to begin to use and consume ICD-10 immediately without the requirement of an onerous and time-consuming conversion.
“Without this capability, payors could lose key member information and increase care managers’ manual workarounds, hurting their bottom line and member satisfaction.”
While the deadline required for full conversion to ICD-10 is more than three years away—Oct. 1, 2013—some providers have already begun the process and will complete their conversion before the deadline. This staggered implementation will pose a major problem for many healthcare payors since they must accommodate both ICD-10 and ICD-9 code sets in the interim.
“Click4Care’s ability to receive both ICD-10 and ICD-9 information in a single-view is a strategic asset to our clients as it helps them meet the demands of all of their providers, including early ICD-10 adopters, and enhance the quality of member care,” explained Click4Care CEO Rob Gillette. “Without this capability, payors could lose key member information and increase care managers’ manual workarounds, hurting their bottom line and member satisfaction.”
Added Gillette, “Click4Care’s built-from-the-ground-up care management technology platform eliminates the significant financial, staffing, operational and technological burdens most payors face as they ready their cumbersome legacy systems for the ICD-10 conversion. Our software was developed to support rapid innovation and the ability to respond, in real time, to healthcare’s constantly evolving environment. While other technology vendors tout their ICD-10 conversion planning roadmaps that require upgrades and costly consulting services to implement, our clients can take advantage of a hassle-free conversion on their timetable.”
Click4Care has been handling ICD-10 data code sets from European clients for more than two years. U.S. clients will benefit from this proven, simple process.
When Click4Care receives a customer’s ICD-10 code sets, the information can be loaded into the payor’s care management system without any time-consuming, costly reconfiguration or down time. Once completed, all claims submitted using either ICD-10 or ICD-9 can be automatically accepted, routed, mapped and analyzed. This allows Click4Care’s clients to take immediate advantage of ICD-10’s greater granularity to enhance their care management capabilities.
Click4Care’s powerful care management software suite allows payors to aggregate critical patient information to identify the members who would benefit most from active care management. The software’s robust functionality offers health plans, health insurers and third-party administrators the only fully integrated view of all member activity across utilization management, disease management, case management, and health and wellness management. Supported by an agile architecture, the platform’s unrivaled configurability can quickly and easily accommodate each payor's unique workflows, policies and business processes.
