ZURICH--()--Genesis Invest AG (FWB:GN0) has acquired the exclusive distribution rights for the US market from Germany's leading developer and producer of biological wastewater treatment plants. This completes Genesis Invest's holistic supply solution for residential units. A first system unit was sold to Haiti last Friday.
“With this exclusive distribution agreement we're securing ourselves an important competitive advantage in the US market. Genesis Invest is the only company to offer a holistic model that includes energy recovery, water desalination and sterilization, and wastewater treatment”
The wastewater treatment plants complete Genesis Invest's product range and the company is convinced that it has found the ideal partner in the German company Martin Systems AG. With experience gained from more than 1,000 installed systems and more than 10 years of technical development in the area of municipal and industrial water treatment, Martin Systems AG has been able to tap the market for decentralized, private applications using membrane technology with its products siClaro® and BMA®.
Self-contained supply solution for residential units
"With this exclusive distribution agreement we're securing ourselves an important competitive advantage in the US market. Genesis Invest is the only company to offer a holistic model that includes energy recovery, water desalination and sterilization, and wastewater treatment," explains Genesis CEO Wolfgang Goese. Under these conditions Genesis Invest can install self-contained supply solutions in new buildings and in existing residential units within a short time with simple structural measures. While the Genesis wind and solar installations provide electricity, the desalination and sterilization systems supply clean drinking water. The circle is now closed with the wastewater treatment systems: up to 70 percent of the water consumed flows back to the system. This is enough, for example, to supply the washing machine, to flush the toilet, and to water the garden (see diagram).
Genesis Invest sold the first self-contained in-house drinking water supply solution to Haiti just a few days ago. According to agreements with US aid agencies, more systems will follow. The entire system will be used within the scope of the country's reconstruction.
