URS Awarded Four Contracts by Department of Defense

Contracts Have Combined Maximum Value of $316 Million to URS

SAN FRANCISCO--()--URS Corporation (NYSE:URS) today announced that it has been awarded four new contracts by the Department of Defense (DoD) to provide engineering services and maintenance support to the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy. The four contracts, which have a combined maximum value of $316 million to URS over five years if all options are exercised, are:

  • A $46 million contract to provide inspection and maintenance on U.S. Army equipment in South Korea, including combat vehicles, construction and engineering equipment, material handling equipment, wheel vehicles, trailers, ground support and special purpose equipment, and weapons and turret systems. The contract includes a one-year base period followed by four one-year options.
  • A $103 million contract to provide aircraft maintenance and modification services to the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Research, Development, and Engineering Center (CERDEC), including engineering and technical support, customer assistance, logistics and operations management, and aviation ground support. The contract includes a one-year base period followed by two one-year options.
  • A $140 million dollar contract to provide technical, maintenance and repair services to the U.S. Army’s Iraq Maintenance and Tire Repair Mission for U.S. and coalition forces at multiple locations within Iraq. The contract includes a one year base period followed by four one-year options.
  • A five-year $27 million contract to provide engineering, technical, and program management support to the Radar Technologies Division of the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane, Indiana Division.
