iHome Portable Audio Lineup Puts a Charge in CES 2010

New Rechargeable iPod & iPhone Speaker Solutions Lead the Way for Portable Audio

2010 International CES

RAHWAY, N.J.--()--Great news for consumer’s wallets as iHome today announced the addition of three new portable iPhone and iPod speaker accessories with rechargeable batteries. No matter where life takes you, these new solutions offer innovative and useful new ways to travel with your music. By now offering the rechargeable lithium ion batteries found in the iP48, iP49 and iHM78, iHome is providing users with an additional cost savings, reducing the number of used batteries being thrown away and need to continually replace them.

“Now when traveling, all you need to bring is an iHome unit itself.”

  • iP48 Portable Rechargeable Stereo Alarm Clock for iPhone/iPod: housed in a fabric wrapped protective covering for travel anywhere, the iP48 fills the need for a rechargeable portable alarm clock and speaker system. A helpful Time Sync feature sets the clock to local time by simply docking the iPhone so time zone changes are a snap.
  • iP49 Portable Rechargeable Studio Series Audio System with Alarm Clock & FM Radio for iPhone/iPod: the name just about says it all. The iP49 features the high-end clock radio functions found in an iHome home unit, and gives it an audio boost with the inclusion of Bongiovi Acoustics’ patented Digital Power Station technology and four neodymium compression drivers. Add EQ for deep bass and audio clarity, and a remote control that handles the menu functions on both iPod and iPhone models, and you have the perfect on-the-go stereo.
  • iHM79 Rechargeable Mini Speakers: small enough to fit in your palm and loud enough to fill the whole room with sound, the new iHM79 introduces an updated look and improved sound, design and battery life, while maintaining the great feature set of its iHM77 predecessor.

“Our new rechargeable docking options offer consumers great portable functionality and long-term cost savings by reducing the need to replace the batteries,” said Evan Stein, vice president of Marketing, iHome. “Now when traveling, all you need to bring is an iHome unit itself.”

iHome’s new rechargeable portable speakers are making their public debut during CES 2010 in the North Hall, booth #N245. Other new iHome portable audio units on display at this year’s CES include the iP28, iP37, iP38 and iP46. For more information on iHome’s product line, please visit www.ihomeaudio.com.
