Rand Paul to Officially File for United States Senate

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Taxpayer advocate Dr. Rand Paul will make his leading bid for United States Senate official this Wednesday, December 30 in Frankfort. Dr. Paul will be joined by friends and supporters to file his papers as a candidate at the State Capitol Building at 2:00 pm ET in the Secretary of State's office.

Immediately following the filing, Dr. Paul will go to Republican Party of Kentucky Headquarters at 105 W. 3rd Street in Frankfort for a press conference.

Dr. Paul’s campaign has become a grassroots phenomenon and has catapulted him on a tremendous upward trajectory. Rand has raised $1.75 million, including over $600,000 on Q4. An independent, scientific poll released on December 22 shows Rand leading his primary opponent 44-25. Dr. Paul has also picked up several key endorsements, including Concerned Women for America, the nation’s largest women’s public policy group.
