WOBURN, Mass.--()--Global condition monitoring services company Azima DLI today announced its DCA-60™ vibration data collector and real-time analyzer has been selected as a finalist in the 22nd annual Product of the Year competition by Plant Engineering. The finalists are featured in the magazine’s November 2009 issue and represent outstanding achievements in innovation and product design.
“The DCA-60 continues to be a popular data collector for our customers that need a powerful diagnostic tool to support immediate, on-site maintenance decisions while providing the features and functionality that can evolve with the changing needs of their plant”
The rugged, portable DCA-60 is designed for use at plants and other industrial sites and allows plant technicians to collect vibration data and diagnose machine faults on site. Technicians can also transmit data wirelessly to Azima DLI’s analysts as part of the company’s WATCHMAN Analysis™ program. The DCA-60 enables four-channel simultaneous vibration data collection and includes advanced multimedia capabilities, 80 GB of data storage, and compatibility with Windows applications. The DCA-60 also features onboard ALERT™ machine vibration analysis software to support advanced diagnostics.
“It is innovation that will help lead the economic recovery, and based on the entries for the 2009 Plant Engineering Product of the Year awards, that leadership is already well in place,” said Bob Vavra, editor, Plant Engineering. “The 2009 finalists again show the willingness of manufacturing leaders to find better solutions to meet plant floor needs. Plant managers need to look at these products to find the best solutions to operate their plants smarter, safer and more efficiently.”
Azima DLI’s DCA-60 is competing in the Maintenance Tools and Equipment category. The top three in each category, as voted by Plant Engineering readers, will receive a Product of the Year trophy on Monday, March 29, 2010 at the 2010 Manufacturing/Automation Summit in Chicago. The product with the single highest vote total from all product finalists will receive the 2009 Grand Award.
“The DCA-60 continues to be a popular data collector for our customers that need a powerful diagnostic tool to support immediate, on-site maintenance decisions while providing the features and functionality that can evolve with the changing needs of their plant,” said Jonathan Hakim, president, Azima DLI. “We are proud that the DCA-60 has been recognized by Plant Engineering for its innovative features and the value it can deliver to plants in terms of improved machinery reliability and efficiency.”
