Mylan Laboratories Inc. (NASDAQ: MYL), $16.86, +$0.17, 1.02%, is a global pharmaceutical company that develops, licenses, manufactures, markets and distributes generic, brand and branded generic pharmaceutical products and active pharmaceutical ingredients. MYL was active yesterday with over 13 million shares traded which is a significant gain from the previous day with a close of 8.6 million and 4.4 million the day before. The company saw a share increase of $0.17 yesterday to close at $16.86. Last month’s news release of the company’s financial earnings confirmed revenues of $1.26 billion for the third quarter and $3.74 billion for the nine months ending September 2009. Suncor Energy Inc. (TSX: SU), $35.14, +$0.18, 0.51%, is a company that produces a number of refinery feedstock, diesel fuel and by-products by developing its locations in the Athabasca oil sands in north eastern Alberta. Suncor reached a high yesterday of $35.73 to close the day at $35.14 or a $0.18 share price increase from the day before, with 7.6 million shares traded. Suncor Energy will release its third quarter financial results on November 6th, 2009. Following the release of the financials a teleconference will be held to review the results, investors also have the option to participate via webcast.
Romarco Minerals Inc. (TSX-V: R), $1.38, +$0.08, 6.15%, made gains in its share price yesterday by over 6% to a close at $1.38, with 6.2 million shares traded, on no news. The last news release from Romarco Minerals announced the appointment of John Marsden to the Board of Directors. Marsden has over 27 years of international experience managing major, innovative, copper, gold, molybdenum and cobalt operations and projects. Romarco Minerals Inc. is a developing gold company with its primary interest in the U.S and Mexico.
