WHY:
- The FULL CIRCLE Playground initiative represents Sun Products and the Town of Trumbull’s shared commitment to sustainability and community.
- The Playground is made primarily from recycled plastic (HDPE#2) sustainable lumber representing more than 50,000 of Sun Products’ plastic all®, Wisk® and Snuggle® containers recycled rather than landfilled.
- The community build day expects to deliver more than 2,000 Sun Products associate and community volunteer service hours to the Town of Trumbull.
- Sun Products’ long-term commitment to Trumbull and Fairfield County includes their soon-to-open North American Technology Center in Trumbull and their recently opened North American headquarters in Wilton.
- Representative of a true public-private partnership – the result of good citizen stewards stepping up to meet the needs of municipalities in challenging economic times – the “FULL CIRCLE” playground initiative demonstrates a commitment to shared priorities.
- Sun Products and Trumbull share the goal to enhance available resources for children and families to be active outdoors, get dirty and enjoy life in their community.
- The playground will be landscaped with native plants and green design in early spring 2010.
