RENO, Nev.--()--Building on the success of the Windspire wind turbine (www.mariahpower.com) in the United States market, small-wind technology company Mariah Power today announced the official launch of the Windspire wind turbine for European countries. The launch coincides with the introduction of a 230 volt inverter which enables the Windspire to connect to European grid specifications. European customers are now able to order Windspire wind turbines through a growing network of international dealers which currently includes representatives in wind-rich countries like Denmark and France. Mariah Power is aggressively building a network of international Windspire dealers to expand to new countries that also utilize similar electric grids.
“We are excited to bring an affordable and great-looking new wind product to the European market.”
The Windspire is a small-scale vertical axis wind turbine designed to power homes or businesses. Standing just 9.1 meters tall, Windspire features a plug ‘n produce™ design that connects directly to the power supply of the building, offsetting electricity use and reducing energy costs. The unit’s sleek design, quiet operation, and ability to use turbulent wind to generate energy enables it to fit well in urban and suburban environments. The Windspire wind turbine will generate approximately 2000kWhs annually in 5.4 m/s average winds, which is more than half of the electricity consumption of the average European home.
“We have enjoyed great success bringing a whole new approach to small wind to the US market with the Windspire,” said Mariah Power CEO Mike Hess. “We are excited to bring an affordable and great-looking new wind product to the European market.”
