Healthvision Announces Second Quarter Results

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Healthvision closed the second quarter with more than 120 transactions, including thirteen new customers and two new partner engagements. “We continue to expand our footprint not only through direct sales, but through strong partner relationships in the interoperability space,” stated Russell Fleischer, Healthvision’s chief executive officer. “With interoperability being a key component to Health Information Exchange, we are committed to solutions that will allow new and existing clients the ability to extend Cloverleaf® to an Enterprise Exchange that helps meet ‘Meaningful Use’ requirements in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.”

Here are a few examples of Healthvision’s second quarter transactions:

Wisconsin Integrated Information Technology & Telemedicine System (WIITTS) ― WIITTS is a regional information systems network jointly owned by SSM Health Care of Wisconsin and Dean Health System. A client since 2006, their expansion and continued use of Cloverleaf® reinforces their commitment to the solution it provides within their network.

Hanover Hospital ― a 111-bed, not-for-profit community hospital in Hanover, Pennsylvania, that provides acute care, diagnostic, therapeutic, rehabilitative and wellness services to the Greater Hanover Area. Their purchase of the Cloverleaf® interface engine will allow them to seamlessly exchange information between their various systems.

Centre Régional des achats en groupe (CRAG) ― a Canadian non-profit corporate body that manages the supply of health and social services to the Saguenay – Lac-St-Jean region. They will be replacing their existing lab information system with TD-Synergy, Healthvision’s best of breed lab information system delivered in partnership with Technidata.

3M Health Information Systems ― delivers comprehensive software and consulting services to help organizations improve performance across the healthcare continuum. 3M offers integrated solutions for transcription, speech recognition, clinical documentation improvement, document management, computer-assisted coding, quality, and revenue cycle management, effectively meeting the industry’s changing needs. 3M will be using Cloverleaf® within 3M™ Codefinder™ Computer-Assisted Edition to easily connect various systems within client environments.

RezZiliant ― is a Healthcare software company offering a unique web-based suite of modules to hospitals, physician practices, radiology groups and clinics to capture patient data from an encounter via Dictation, convert the voice files to text with Speech Recognition and then process the unstructured text using a proprietary process. This includes a Natural Language Processor to extract essential clinical information for coding (ICD-9, CPT codes), allergy lists, medication lists, reporting for compliance and finally population of the patient chart in any 3rd party EHR/HIS system in one seamless process. RezZiliant will be using Cloverleaf® and Cloverleaf® Secure Courier to securely integrate this clinical information into their client systems.

Healthvision continues to invest in research and development. As a result, the following products were made available in second quarter:

Exchange and Clinical Portal v9.06 ― a fully-hosted solution that allows health systems to exchange data and deliver results to doctors via the Internet. This version incorporates Continuity of Care Document (CCD) interoperability and reference pointer support to protect against unauthorized use of clinical data access through URL pointers.

MediPatient+ v7.00.00 ― a patient registration system that is designed to integrate a hospital’s processes into a streamlined, cost-effective bundle that allows for better and faster delivery of services while still improving your bottom line. This version incorporates the ability to define type of inpatient stay, and a closing period feature has also been added. These additions allow for more flexibility and precision in the production of statistics.

Also, the upcoming 2009 Annual User Conference was recently announced and will be held October 5-7 at the Marriott DFW Airport in Irving, Texas. More information about this event can be found online at http://www.healthvision.com/2009userconference.
