Wealth Management Firm Solamere Advisors Launches In Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The founders of Solamere Capital, LLC have invested in Solamere Advisors, a newly formed wealth management firm based in Charlotte. An SEC-registered investment advisor, Solamere Advisors was started by 11 veteran financial-services professionals with deep ties to the Carolinas. The firm offers comprehensive asset management services and specializes in managing all aspects of family wealth, including generational wealth planning, investment, fiduciary, trust and risk management objectives.

Solamere Advisors principals have 115 years of combined wealth management and related experience. Capital Guardian LLC will serve as introducing broker/dealer for client transactions and Pershing LLC, a subsidiary of The Bank of New York Mellon Corp., will act as clearing broker/dealer and custodian of client assets.

Mr. Romney co-founded Solamere Capital, based in Lexington, Mass., in 2008 with managing partners Eric Scheuermann and Spencer Zwick to focus on superior private equity opportunities. Mr. Romney is a former executive with Reebok, Elan Pharmaceuticals and the Los Angeles Dodgers. Mr. Scheuermann is a former partner at private equity firm Jupiter Partners and consultant at McKinsey & Company. Mr. Zwick most recently served as the national finance chair for a 2008 presidential candidate, where he helped break previous national fundraising levels, and previously as deputy chief of staff in the Massachusetts governor’s office.

At Solamere Advisors, Timothy L. Bambauer will serve as a managing partner with Mr. Wilson. Joining them in Investment Services will be Peter L. Jespersen and Brandon R. Phillips.
