IRVINGTON, N.J.--()--CIAO BELLA®, America’s Favorite Gelato, kicks off their Discover-Savor-Share 2009 sampling tour today, aimed at handing out one million free samples of their intensely flavorful frozen desserts to consumers across the country.

From June through September, Ciao Bella will travel to retailers on the East and West Coasts in branded “Gelato Mobiles” to share their new 3.5 ounce single serve cups with consumers. Available at Safeway, Costco, Harris Teeter and other supermarket chains across the country, the single serve cups come in some of Ciao Bella’s most popular flavors, including Blood Orange sorbet, Mango sorbet, Lemon sorbet, Tahitian Vanilla gelato, and Chocolate Hazelnut gelato.

The tour marks Ciao Bella’s first major bicoastal summer sampling effort, coming one year after their Discover-Savor-Share East Coast tour in which they handed out over 100,000 free scoops of gelato and sorbet. Utilizing the single serve cups, the 2009 trek gives consumers a first look at Ciao Bella’s latest product line, which boasts perfectly portioned individual servings of gelato and sorbet packaged in a branded cup with a spoon tucked conveniently under the lid.
The East and West Coast drives begin today with simultaneous kickoffs in Charlotte, N.C. and Sacramento, Calif. In addition to several stops in Northern California and North Carolina, the tour will visit markets in Southern California, Connecticut, DC, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, Virginia, and Washington.
