FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.--()--Certified Vacations Group, Inc. and Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) announced today that they are entering into a new Tour Operator Agreement. Under terms of the agreement, Certified Vacations will continue to offer Delta service under its private-label Future Vacations brand. The agreement follows Delta’s recent decision to move the management and operation of its Delta Vacations brand from Certified Vacations to Travel Impressions effective July 1, 2008. Certified Vacations has served as the official operator of Delta Vacations since 1982.
Nick Davison, President of Certified Vacations, commented on the agreement, saying: “We fully understand the synergies that Delta will enjoy by concentrating its business with Travel Impressions/American Express, and we wish them the best. For our part, we continue to grow Future Vacations into the ‘everything for everyone’ tour operator, offering the widest choice of vacation products with the most flexible booking options. We’re pleased to have Delta’s continuing support as we start a new chapter in the long and successful business relationship between our two companies.”
In line with its commitment to superior customer service, Certified Vacations will continue to manage all Delta Vacations bookings made on, or before June 30, 2008 regardless of effective dates of travel.
The new Tour Operator Agreement is the latest in a series of moves made by Certified Vacations to bolster the Future Vacations brand. Earlier this month, Certified unveiled several new air service options available via Future Vacations. In February 2008 Future Vacations’ Caribbean product was expanded with the introduction of packages to six new destinations – Bonaire, Curacao, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Tobago and St. Kitts/Nevis. In 2007, packages were added to Dubai, Israel, South Africa and Loreto, Mexico.
