CHESTER, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--On the heels of the company’s strongest year in its seventeen year history, Mark A. Stiffler, president, CEO, and founder of Synygy, Inc., a recognized authority on sales performance management, was elected to the Philadelphia 100® Hall of Fame, in recognition of his leading his company to steady, continued growth, and ongoing innovation.
Election of a CEO into the Hall of Fame requires the person to have held the position of CEO for one or more Philadelphia 100 companies (at the time they appeared on the Philadelphia 100 list of fastest growing, privately held companies) on five or more instances.
Mr. Stiffler founded Synygy in 1991 and has been president and CEO of the company since then, leading Synygy onto the Philadelphia 100 list a total of nine times. With this record-breaking number of appearances, Synygy itself was elected into the Philadelphia 100 Hall of Fame in 2004.
The Philadelphia 100, celebrating its twentieth anniversary in 2008, is an annual program conducted by the Entrepreneurs' Forum of Greater Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Business Journal, and Wharton Small Business Development Center. By tracking the fastest growing, privately held companies in the Greater Philadelphia region, the organization, among other things, helps to spread the word about the economic vitality of Greater Philadelphia, to develop the business acumen of the region by sharing success stories, and to measure the impact these companies have on the economy.
“While this selection is an acknowledgement of my work, I am really more proud of how the award reflects the hard work and accomplishments of Synygy’s employees and management team,” noted Mr. Stiffler. “Sustained growth reflects a high degree of insight and discipline, laced with a true concern for the interests of our clients, and the ability to adapt to change with ease, which we have done many times over the years. Going forward, over the next year, we will continue to adapt as we introduce many new services aimed at improving the effectiveness of the sales forces of our clients.”
Synygy provides sales compensation and sales performance management solutions to companies with at least 1000 salespeople, brokers, or agents, for a fixed subscription fee. This business model, combined with exceptional client service and an extremely high contract renewal rate, demonstrates the continued resiliency and strength of Synygy’s approach to serving its clients.
Based on his two decades of experience consulting with Fortune 1000 companies, Mr. Stiffler recently authored PERFORMANCE: Creating the Performance-Driven Organization, a book published by Wiley Press.
Mr. Stiffler is a frequent speaker on the topic of sales performance management and a long-time guest lecturer in entrepreneurial marketing at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. He is also an active member of Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), a group of 10,000 chief executives under age 50 from 75 nations.
