Summit Bank Foundation Announces John Bohannon as the New President for 2008
OAKLAND, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Summit Bank Foundation announced today that its new President for 2008 will be John Bohannon. Mr. Bohannon was on the Foundation’s Board of Directors for three years before he was named President.
Since 2001, John Bohannon has resided as the Chairman of the Board and CEO for Builders Control, Inc. Builders Control is a 70 year old financial service provider for the construction lending industry. John Bohannon began a career in real estate as a co-founder and CFO of IDG (Innovative Development Group). IDG provided real estate development consulting and developed and managed over 200,000 square feet of office space. IDG also owned and operated Innovative Loanworks, a home mortgage and commercial loan mortgage company. John Bohannon obtained a degree in high technology management from California State University, San Marcos. He consulted with various high-tech companies in southern California and provided marketing and financial analysis before shifting his career towards real estate.
Founded in 1998, the Summit Bank Foundation was established to promote financial literacy and education. Focusing primarily on promoting financial literacy, the Foundation has developed 13 individual grade curriculums along with its partner, ANG newspapers, to teach children about money and financial responsibility in a fun and educational environment. Through the comprehensive curriculum guides, students learn the basics including writing checks and balancing a checkbook, credit card use, and wants versus needs, at no cost to educators.
