CHESTERFIELD, Mo.--()--Unibased Systems Architecture, Inc. (USA), the leading provider of enterprise resource management solutions to the healthcare industry, today announced that KLAS has released its long awaited 2007 Surgery Management Report on September 28. Eleven HIT vendors were evaluated and USA overall scores were well above all competitors. KLAS began monitoring the surgery management space in July 2002, and gave its first detailed look in June 2004. Since then, KLAS has continued to track vendor performance and trends, and monitor progress as the market evolves. This is the third report in which USA has scored highest, showing consistent performance over several years.
For this report, KLAS interviewed 463 providers from a variety of healthcare settings, with a goal to quantify provider experience regarding use of and satisfaction with surgery management solutions.
George M. Giorgianni, USA’s National Director for Perioperative Solutions and formerly a surgery management system industry consultant as well as an executive with SIS, McKesson and DocuSys, reacted by saying “As a recent addition to USA, I have been extremely impressed by ORMS regarding its overall depth of rich features, as well as the quality and reliability of the firm’s products. I am not the least bit surprised by the favorable study results. It is the perfect solution for a multi-facility provider or a large scale IDN desiring to centrally manage its highest producing revenue areas in a coordinated fashion. Over the last year, USA has increased ORMS capabilities and ease-of-use, and is now adding relationships with other HIT vendors in this market space. Surgery Management is a replacement market, and in my opinion, USA is in the perfect position to replace the existing under-supported products.”
Charles W. Kean, USA’s Vice President of Sales & Client Relations, added “USA is aggressively pursing this market space at this time. We have proven our product is mature and comprehensive after four years of field testing and total responsiveness to client offered suggestions and revisions. My interpretation of the KLAS report is that our competition does not appear to be as dedicated to this space, so this is an outstanding opportunity for USA, and the providers will benefit ultimately.”
