CHATSWORTH, Calif.--()--Image Entertainment, Inc. (Nasdaq:DISK), a leading independent licensee, producer and distributor of entertainment programming in North America, today announced the signing of an exclusive distribution agreement with Revolver Entertainment LLC and UK-based Revolver Entertainment LTD. The agreement pledges exclusive home video and digital distribution rights to Image. It is anticipated that Image will distribute approximately 12-15 titles over the first year of the agreement.
The first DVD title to be released under the new Image/Revolver agreement is 3000 Miles: Gumball 3000, currently scheduled for a November release. 3000 Miles: Gumball 3000 follows Tony Hawk (Lords of Dogtown), Bam Margera and Ryan Dunn (both of MTV’s “Jackass”), skateboarding champion Mike Vallely, and BMX rider Mike Escamilla as they team up to race 3,000 miles around the world in eight days during Gumball 3000, the world’s largest cult car racing event. In addition to the annual rally which bears its name, Gumball 3000 is recognized as one of the fastest-growing lifestyle brands in the world. Image Entertainment’s 3000 Miles: Gumball 3000 DVD captures all of the action, adventure and “Jackass”-style antics from London to Los Angeles.
