Toshiba Announces Latest Satellite(R) P105 Desktop Replacement Notebooks with Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo Processor

IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Toshiba Digital Products Division, a division of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., today announced its latest Satellite(R) P105 series desktop replacement notebooks featuring the Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo Processor and a new Onyx Blue Metallic color lid as well as external TV tuner on select models, offering consumers a wide selection of feature-rich notebooks in an attractive form factor.

Designed for portable productivity and entertainment, the Satellite P105 series features the line’s standard 17-inch diagonal widescreen TruBrite(TM) display with a 7.1-pound(1), 1.41-inch slim notebook chassis, and incorporates the latest Intel Centrino(R) Duo mobile platform. Based on the new Intel Core Microarchitecture, the Intel Core 2 Duo Processor is designed to handle multiple tasks in less time while consuming less power and reducing fan noise and heat. In addition, all the notebooks now feature an Onyx Blue Metallic high-gloss lid as well as a high-gloss palm rest inside.

Incorporating the Intel Core 2 Duo Processor(2) T5200 (1.60GHz, 2MB L2, 533MHz FSB), the Satellite P105-S6124 and the Satellite P105-S6134 feature USB external TV tuners for playing live TV from an antenna, cable or satellite set-top box. The units also feature Microsoft Windows XP Media Center 2005 for recording your favorite TV programming for later viewing, 2048MB DDR2 of memory(3), as well as a 160GB Serial-ATA hard drive(4) and a 200GB Serial-ATA hard drive(4) respectively. Units available without external TV tuners include the Satellite P105-S6114, incorporating the Intel Core 2 Duo Processor(2) T5200 (1.60GHz, 2MB L2, 533MHz FSB) as well as a 160GB serial-ATA hard drive(4) and 2048MB DDR2 SDRAM of memory(3). The unit has an ESUP of $1,399.99(5). The Satellite P105-S6104 features the same Intel Core 2 Duo Processor as well as a 120GB serial-ATA hard drive(4) and 1024MB DDR2 SDRAM of memory(3) for an ESUP of $1,249.99(5).

Every notebook in the new Satellite P105 line of notebooks also features:

The Satellite P105 series notebooks come with a standard one-year limited warranty(6). The standard limited warranty includes carry-in support at Authorized Service Providers throughout the country, or the customer may use any of the more than 3,000 UPS Stores for packaging and delivery of the product to a centralized depot for prompt service turnaround.
