Mr. Hartz is a managing director of Spire Capital Group LLC, where he focuses on the commercialization of early-stage technologies from universities, government and private research institutions. From 1995 to 2002, while Global CEO of PwC Consulting, Hartz led the company's growth to a $6.0 billion enterprise with a global leadership position serving multi-national companies in corporate transformation, e-business and e-markets, supply chain services, CRM, and enterprise resource planning. In 1999 and 2000, he was named one of Consulting Magazine's top-10 most influential consultants. In 2002, PwC Consulting was acquired by IBM.
Hartz serves on the Board of Directors of Siebel Systems and Erie Indemnity Company. He also serves on The Wharton School Graduate Board and Lehigh University Business School Advisory Board. Mr. Hartz holds a B.S. degree in Economics from Lehigh University and an MBA degree from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
