Former Merck Executive Appointed President at Selfhelpworks, Inc.

Edwards will report directly to Chief Executive Officer Lou Ryan and will lead the company's strategic planning and partnerships as well as operations, and clinical studies for each of its three programs, Living Lean(TM) for weight management; Living Smart(TM) for alcohol control; and Living Free(TM) for smoking cessation. Edwards will also join the company's Board of Directors.

Prior to Selfhelpworks, Edwards served as President and Board member of EMD Biosciences, a division of Life Science Products, Merck KGaA, from 1999 until 2002. Also at Merck KGaA, he worked as Director of Marketing, North America, for EM Industries in Gibbstown, NJ for three years and served as Director of Sales & Marketing, Laboratory Products for BDH Inc. in Toronto for three years.
