The process Aradyme will use for this project is based on their "Next Generation" database platform technology. "Because we can create full-functioning database applications in a fraction of the time traditional applications can be developed, we use our powerful technology as a toolkit to quickly extract and cleanse the data, letting clients actually see their data, run reports and validate integrity long before the information reaches the new application," stated Don Hutchings, Aradyme's vice president of sales. "The entire process is data driven rather than Schema driven, since the real value is the data. We have no dependence on the source or target schema or even the DBMS. Aradyme provides a fully open and independent cleansing environment that is substantially faster due to automating nearly the entire process, as well as providing an extremely high degree of confidence in data integrity and accuracy," concluded Hutchings.
“The federal government is requiring all states, by the end of 2005, to consolidate county voter registration databases into one state voter registration database. That is a daunting task for any state”
Redcon already had an existing relationship with the State of Utah when representatives from the state were introduced to Aradyme and their solution for extracting, cleansing and migrating data. "The federal government is requiring all states, by the end of 2005, to consolidate county voter registration databases into one state voter registration database. That is a daunting task for any state," commented Ray Palmer, IS manager in the office of Planning & Budget for the State of Utah. "With such a large task and so little time, we were open to new ideas, hoping to be able to comply with the federal deadline and within budget. That is why we were willing to look at new technologies such as Aradyme's," concluded Palmer.
The Aradyme contract to convert all 29 counties for the state of Utah will be done in three phases. Each phase will last only two to three months. "With the unbelievable speed Aradyme has demonstrated to date, the state will have ample time to validate success following each phase," stated Tom Hori, Redcon president and CEO. "We are so excited about this contract with Aradyme. We have a 20-year history of providing truly cost-effective solutions to both federal and state government agencies. This is cutting-edge technology that has the potential to change the way the industry has been doing things for decades. We will be the first contractor to partner with Aradyme, and anticipate tremendous success because of it," added Hori.
