$1.6 Million Worth of TV and Movie Memorabilia Sold Dec. 12 to Highest Bidders Through Joseph Maddalena's Profiles In History Company

More than $1.6 million worth of original TV and movie memorabilia was auctioned last Friday (12/12) by Joseph Maddalena and his internationally famous company, Profiles In History, the number one company in the world for live and simultaneous Internet memorabilia auctions. The auction originated from the Westin Hotel at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

The six-hour auction sold a total of 566 fine artifacts headlined by the custom-built, fully operational "Black Beauty" car that was driven by Bruce Lee as "Kato" in the classic 1960s television series "The Green Hornet." The car sold at auction for $192,050.

Also auctioned was the single most important costume from the golden age of 1930s horror cinema, the special effects "Invisible Suit" worn by Claude Rains in Universal's adaptation of the H.G. Wells classic "The Invisible Man." It sold for $34,000.

In addition, the world's largest and most important collection of futuristic guns and weapons were put on the auction block from such landmark productions as the "Alien" films, "The Terminator" films, "Babylon 5," "Dune," "Battlestar Galactica," "Dr. Who," "Red Dwarf," "Flash Gordon," "The Invaders," "Logan's Run," "Predator 2," "Batman," "Blake's 7," "The Fifth Element," "V," "SeaQuest: DSV," "Men in Black," "The Outer Limits," "RoboCop," "Ultraman," "Lost in Space" and "Judge Dredd."

-- Large-scale miniature Seaview submarine from "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea," $54,625.

-- Original Starfleet communicator from "Star Trek," $28,750.

-- Rare "Flash Gordon" one-sheet poster from the 1936 feature film, $43,125.

-- Bruce Willis hero pistol from "The Fifth Element," $12,650.

-- Al Pacino hat from "The Godfather," $16,100.

-- Arnold Schwarzenegger hero shotgun from "Terminator 2: Judgment Day," $10,350.

-- Crew member costume from "Forbidden Planet," $10,925.
