Atari Brings the Ultimate Game Show Experience to PlayStation 2 with Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune

Atari, through a licensing agreement with Sony Pictures Consumer Products (SPCP), transports game show fans to the Hollywood studios of the most popular game shows with Jeopardy!(R) and Wheel of Fortune(R) for PlayStation(R)2 computer entertainment system. Jeopardy! shipped last week to retail outlets nationwide, while Wheel of Fortune follows in a few weeks. The console games deliver players with the closest experience to being a contestant live in the studio.

Game show fans can now experience what it is like to be a contestant on Jeopardy!, the #1 quiz show in syndication for seventeen years. The game comes complete with appearances by host Alex Trebek and voiceover from announcer Johnny Gilbert. Players can take contestant exams and challenge family and friends to see who knows more about history, literature and pop culture with categories, answers and questions created by the actual TV show writers. Jeopardy! for PlayStation(R)2 makes it easy to enjoy the excitement that has made Jeopardy! so popular on TV for 30 years.

Wheel of Fortune, the #1 syndicated show on television for more than 19 years, arrives on PlayStation(R)2 with an awesome combination of host Vanna White, voiceover announcer Charlie O'Donnell, fun puzzles and glittering sets. Wheel of Fortune for console contains thousands of puzzles to entertain and challenge players of all levels.
