Hunt-Fluor Partnership Awarded Contract for U.S. Navy's Ford Island Project

  The Department of the Navy announced that it has awarded the Ford Island Master Development Agreement to Hunt Building Company, Ltd., El Paso, Texas, and Fluor Federal Services, LLC, Aliso Viejo, Calif. The companies are operating in a partnership known as Fluor Hawaii, LLC. The Ford Island contract represents an estimated $180 million investment in the Hawaiian economy by the U.S. Navy, Fluor, and Hunt. Project construction is expected to begin in 2004.
