AirStrip Acquires Fifth Eye to Advance Predictive Clinical Surveillance

FDA-cleared AHI System adds near real-time prediction of hemodynamic instability, enabling earlier clinical intervention.

SAN ANTONIO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AirStrip®, a leader in clinical surveillance, decision support, and alarm management solutions, today announced the acquisition of Fifth Eye, the developer of the FDA-cleared AHI System —an innovative software that predicts hemodynamic instability before it becomes apparent in traditional vital signs.

The AHI System enhances clinical decision-making by analyzing non-invasive ECG signals in near real time, providing a dynamic view of a patient’s hemodynamic status. By identifying subtle physiologic changes earlier than standard monitoring tools, AHI enables clinicians to intervene sooner—potentially preventing adverse events and improving outcomes.

“This acquisition accelerates a fundamental shift in how clinical intelligence is delivered,” said Haris Naseem, MD, CEO of AirStrip Technologies. “We’re breaking down silos and equipping care teams with near real-time, predictive insights that can transform patient safety across the continuum of care.”

The acquisition of Fifth Eye follows AirStrip’s recent expansion efforts, including the launch of its Alarm Management middleware solution and the acquisition of DECISIO® Health, a provider of critical care decision support tools. Together, these developments reflect AirStrip’s strategy to unify advanced analytics and clinical context into a single platform.

AirStrip’s portfolio is anchored by AirStrip ONE®—a vendor-agnostic, HIPAA-compliant platform offering native mobile and web applications, medical device integration, and actionable surveillance. The addition of AHI strengthens this ecosystem by helping clinicians identify which patients require increased attention and which are improving.

“AHI aligns perfectly with our mission to deliver intelligent, actionable insights to the bedside,” added Dr. Naseem. “With AHI, we’re giving clinicians a clearer picture of patient trajectory—enabling more confident and timely care decisions.”

By joining forces, AirStrip and Fifth Eye are pushing the boundaries of predictive medicine, delivering powerful tools to help healthcare providers navigate complexity with greater clarity and precision.
