GILBERT, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--RIGID Industries, the leader in high-performance LED lighting for off-road racing professionals and enthusiasts and a Clarience Technologies company, is pleased to announce that industry veteran Mitch Williams has joined the company as its new President.
“Mitch Williams is a seasoned leader with a proven track record in the industry,” said Doug Wolma, President of Safety Solutions for Clarience Technologies. “RIGID continues to grow and today enjoys its position as the preferred choice of customers, and we expect our position to strengthen even further under Mitch’s leadership.”
Williams joins RIGID Industries with a proven track record of driving growth and building high-performing teams over a nearly 40-year career. Most of his experience comes from holding leadership positions at component manufacturers that serve the automotive aftermarket, especially in automotive lighting. Williams spent the first nineteen years of his career at Hella, Inc., ascending to the role of President and CEO of its North American business where he helped establish the company’s reputation as a leading automotive lighting brand in North America. In the years since, Williams has served as the top executive at several other automotive suppliers, including Pilot Automotive, Corinthian Textiles, Dinan Engineering, Restoration Parts Unlimited, and StopTech Performance Brake Systems. He holds his Bachelor of Arts from Emory University.
“RIGID Industries is a leader in lighting technology and a long-time supporter of the off-road market, and I am excited to lead the business into its next chapter,” said Williams. “I am fortunate to join a company with a reputation for uncompromising quality and technology innovation. Our customers should rest assured knowing that maintaining this reputation will be my top priority.”
Williams has earned the respect of the automotive aftermarket industry over the course of his career having been elected to and later serving as the Chairman of the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) board of directors and was named SEMA Person of the Year in 2001. He is also a lifelong off-road enthusiast, having provided technical and corporate support for many different off-road races and race teams. He has run both the Baja 1000 and the Rubicon Trail along with several pilgrimages to Moab.
RIGID Industries is owned by Clarience Technologies, a global transportation technology leader and parent company to Truck-Lite commercial vehicle lighting, ECCO safety solutions, Code 3 emergency safety solutions, Lumitec marine LED lighting, LED Autolamps aftermarket vehicle lighting, Road Ready advanced telematics, DAVCO diesel filtration solutions, and Pressure Systems International tire pressure monitoring and inflation systems.
