COLUMBIA, S.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Managed IT and cybersecurity service provider, VC3, has announced that Ryan Vestby will become the organization’s new Chief Executive Officer on February 20, 2023. Sandy Reeser, who has been the company’s CEO since 2017 will transition to Chairman of the Board.
Vestby has been working alongside Reeser and VC3’s executive team throughout 2022 to extend the company’s local government and commercial IT expertise across North America while simultaneously driving efficiencies for current clients. When it came time for Reeser to move to the next phase of his life and career, Vestby was the natural choice for a successor.
“There was never a time working together when Ryan and I differed on any key decisions,” Reeser shared at an internal meeting announcing the leadership transition.
As Vestby takes over the role of CEO, VC3 will continue to leverage technology and automation to drive a better and more secure experience for its municipal and business clients and their employees. At the same time, the company will look for more opportunities to partner with organizations that are struggling with IT and need to gain confidence that they have the kind of advanced cybersecurity strategy that’s needed to manage modern cyber risks.
“We are thrilled for Ryan to assume the CEO position and to lead the next phase of the company’s growth alongside Sandy and the rest of the board,” said Mark Perlberg, member of VC3’s board of directors and a Managing Director at Nautic.
VC3’s approach to managed services provides municipalities and businesses with IT and cybersecurity services on the local level, while tapping into a vast network of North American resources. Developing top talent is a priority for Vestby.
“Technology is only as good as the people behind it. We sell brain power to our clients and we all need to be at the top of our game every day to protect and serve our clients,” said Vestby.
The depth of knowledge, skills, and tools that clients have access to through VC3 is especially vital for cybersecurity and digital transformation. Organizations of all sizes have complex needs and VC3’s expansion across the US and Canada has enabled investment in these core offerings at a level that is impossible to achieve without scale.
Shahan Zafar, another member of VC3’s board of directors and a Managing Director at Nautic, noted “The bar for Sandy’s transition was extremely high, and we are fortunate that Ryan has proven himself to be the leader who will continue to make VC3 the partner of choice for its clients, employees, and other high-quality MSPs that are looking to join an outstanding platform.”
