COSTA MESA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dorsey & Whitney was named “Law Firm of the Year” by the Thurgood Marshall Bar Association (TMBA) in Orange County, CA, the international law firm is pleased to announce. Dorsey will be presented the award during the TMBA’s Annual Gala on February 23, 2023.

Melonie has worked to further TMBA’s mission to support, connect, and increase the Black legal community in Orange County though a series of events, including the Orange County Black History Parade and Festival, the Juneteenth Celebration and Scholarship Brunch, TMBA’s partnership with an adopt-a-family program at Casa Teresa, and TMBA’s Summer Associate Program, which provides Black law students with substantive legal and professional experiences to support their development as attorneys. Dorsey served as a TMBA Summer Associate Program Partner in 2022 and sponsored the TMBA Midsummer Social for the program.
