Former BetterUp, Calm and Ginger Executive Brings Valuable Patient, Provider, and Entrepreneur Perspectives to Drive Future Vision of Pediatric Care

MADISON, Wis.--()--DotCom Therapy (DCT), a leader in pediatric therapy and support, today announced the appointment of Omar Dawood, M.D., M.P.H., M.B.A. as Chief Executive Officer and board member.

Dawood comes to DCT with a passionate outlook for high quality care and unique perspectives as a teenage stage IV cancer survivor, healthcare provider, and digital health pioneer. His past experiences as the Head of Commercial strategy and President of BetterUp Care at BetterUp, Chief Medical Officer and Head of Sales for Calm, and Chief Medical Officer of Ginger and President of Ginger Medical Corporation (now Headspace Health), offer valuable insights and leadership that will help further shape the future of DCT as it sets new standards for care and access to high quality therapy for children and adolescents.

On top of Dawood’s vast experience in digital behavioral health, he also boasts an impressive educational journey. He holds a BA in chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania, an MPH with a concentration in cancer epidemiology from Yale University, an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and an MD from the Georgetown University School of Medicine.
