Kyros, Digital Recovery Platform, Launches in Minnesota

Recovery industry platform harnesses technology to bring together patients, providers and treatment centers

MINNEAPOLIS--()--Kyros, the first of its kind digital platform for people and organizations within the recovery community, has officially launched in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Harnessing the power of technology to increase positive recovery outcomes for the more than 30 million people affected by substance use disorder across the United States is Kyros’ mission. Since it began offering digital support in September of 2021, Kyros has seen 90-100 percent growth quarter over quarter, and is currently powering over 30 partnering programs in Minnesota including sober houses, treatment programs, and other government supported efforts.

Kyros is the brainchild of CEO and founder Daniel Larson, who saw the need for instant, customized support after experiencing the hurdles of managing substance use disorder firsthand. Larson’s personal journey led him to realize that the lack of centralized resources was a nationwide problem. Recently the National Institute of Health called the growing epidemic of substance abuse one of our top national health concerns. Developing Kyros was a natural step for Larson, by coupling his intimate knowledge of the recovery space with his professional history working in technology, software and building marketplaces.

“Technology has the power to transform the recovery space and impact the highest possible number of people,” said Larson. “The many layers involved in each unique recovery journey can be overwhelming, leading many to stumble or fall off the path entirely. We are dedicated to removing as many barriers as possible for individuals and providers in the recovery community, so that they can focus on their goal of ensuring health and wellbeing.”

Kyros’ centralized network expands the reach of providers and access for clients in the recovery space. The platform creates tailored individual experiences for clients by fostering connections in person and online with providers, while at the same time streamlining access to business services for recovery organizations like liability insurance, billing, payments, technology, and clinical supervision. Located in Public Radio International’s former Minneapolis offices, Kyros’ team of 35 is growing and they plan to expand to 10 more states across the US by June of 2023.
