MEDIA ALERT: Tide Loads of Hope Brings Laundry Service Relief to Evacuees in Kamloops Affected by British Columbia Floods

--()--Tide Loads of Hope:

WHO:

Services are available to all families or individuals who have been displaced from their homes and emergency services workers who are in need of laundry services in the wake of the B.C. floods.

WHAT:

Beginning Wednesday November 23, Tide and its partner, GlobalMedic are providing free, full-service laundry at Downtown McCleaners (437 Seymour St, Kamloops, BC V2C 2G7) to assist those currently displaced by the B.C. floods. The Tide Loads of Hope services will allow those displaced by the floods, as well the disaster relief responders, to drop off their laundry to be washed, dried and folded, free of charge. In line with updated COVID-19 guidelines regarding operations, GlobalMedic, has established new safety protocols and processes to allow for the distribution of free laundry services and supplies to those who have been impacted by the disaster, while keeping staff and beneficiaries at sites protected.

WHY:

The recent floods have devastated multiple communities across the province and have displaced approximately 18,000 residents from their homes, leaving them without basic needs and resources. Tide has a history of giving back to the communities where we live and work, and we want to provide the comforts of home to those who need it most. These services are free and available to people affected by the disaster and the volunteers who are helping to respond.
