CHICAGO--()--Arturo, an AI-powered platform that derives property insights and predictive analytics from aerial and satellite imagery, has tapped Brett Antonides as vice president of apps, analytics and visualization and Dustin Montoya as vice president of platform infrastructure and engineering. With extensive industry knowledge and firsthand experience in geospatial technology, data analytics and artificial intelligence, these new executives will help refine Arturo’s industry-leading technology and drive strategic initiatives and partnerships to support the company’s continued expansion.

“We recognize that a major factor in successfully scaling Arturo is our ability to add the best, brightest and most passionate people to our team,” said Ben Tuttle, chief technology officer at Arturo. “We are thrilled to be able to make such strategic hires on the heels of our Series B fundraise that will help us continue to innovate our technology platform and grow our business. With the extensive technical and product backgrounds Brett and Dustin bring to the table, they will each play a major role in bolstering Arturo’s capabilities and functionality, and will help drive the company’s success in the years ahead.”

A deep learning spin-out from American Family Insurance, Arturo delivers highly accurate physical property characteristic data and predictive analysis for residential and commercial properties for use in the property & casualty (P&C) insurance, reinsurance, lending and securities markets. Recently, Arturo raised $25 million in Series B funding with the goal of building out its technical team, establishing new partnerships with imagery providers to offer more coverage, and expanding its client base.

Antonides has 17 years of experience building successful team cultures based on performance, while helping to solve challenging software engineering and analytics problems for companies, including HawkEye 360, Zoomdata and Noblis. As the new vice president of apps, analytics and visualization, Antonides will aim to support Arturo’s expansion through a technical vision for how the company engages customers, enabling them to get quality data into their hands and make smarter insurance decisions. He will also help the technical team identify how Arturo can consistently deploy apps that customers not only find useful, but present data in a way that makes their lives easier and more efficient.

Montoya joins Arturo as vice president of platform infrastructure and engineering, bringing nearly three decades of experience in geospatial analysis and a successful track record of building and leading software development teams. In his new role, he will aim to bridge the gap between Arturo’s product and technology teams, to ensure the organization is laser-focused on delivering value to its customers in a prioritized way. By leveraging his experience and success in software delivery, Montoya will also help Arturo navigate the complexities of insurtech product development and adoption.

In the immediate term, Montoya will focus on auditing and improving the firm’s technology roadmap. Long-term, he intends to mature Arturo’s technology to be more sustainable and adaptable to existing and future markets.
