Whiteford Expansion in Richmond Continues with Leading Regulatory Compliance & Enforcement Hires

RICHMOND, Va.--()--Whiteford Taylor & Preston has announced that Dale G. Mullen and Michael H. Brady have joined the firm in Richmond. Mr. Mullen is a veteran advisor to business, industry, agriculture, and infrastructure throughout the United States. He will serve as a co-leader of Whiteford’s Administrative Law, Regulatory Compliance and Enforcement practice. Mr. Brady is an experienced litigator in federal and state courts and administrative tribunals, with substantial experience representing clients on appeal.

For clients with complex regulatory compliance, enforcement, and government relations matters, Mr. Mullen provides solutions. He brings three decades of experience in enforcement, compliance, litigation, negotiation, and strategies for crisis management and government relations. He has represented clients in diverse fields including energy, mining, transportation, agriculture, infrastructure, and real estate. He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served as Assistant Attorney General and Chief Prosecutor for the Commonwealth of Virginia, Special Assistant United States Attorney (SAUSA), county attorney and county administrator.

Mr. Brady has more than a decade of experience representing utilities, private businesses, contractors, permittees and state and local taxpayers in disputes implicating complex regulatory regimes. He also counsels a wide range of clients on matters involving Virginia’s Freedom of Information Act. His experience includes service as Assistant Solicitor General in the Office of the Attorney General of Virginia, where he was active on matters before the Supreme Court of the United States, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, the Supreme Court of Virginia, and other lower federal and state courts.
