RIPON, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--For the sixth year in a row, Franzia®, the world’s most popular wine1, will support members of the military and their families through its Homes for Our Heroes program. This year, in addition to contributing a portion of nationwide sales of Franzia boxed wine, Franzia fans can purchase branded patriotic merchandise from May through July with all profits going to Fisher House Foundation while doing so. Franzia has been an ongoing supporter of Fisher House Foundation since 2016. With the help of their ‘Franz’, the brand has donated over $125,000 to the foundation.
Beginning today, consumers can purchase from Franzia’s patriotic merchandise collection to proudly support American veterans and their families, while demonstrating their passion for boxed wine and our American heroes. Franzia will contribute all profits from sales of the patriotic merchandise collection to Fisher House Foundation starting May 1st through July 31st. Featured merchandise includes a dog bandana (for man’s best ‘Franz’), button-up shirt, baseball hat, t-shirt, sunglasses, and party cups, all designed with patriotic stars and stripes elements and the iconic Franzia logo. Coming off the heels of Franzia’s successful merchandise launch in 2020, the new patriotic collection benefiting Fisher House combines supporting an important cause with the lighthearted spirit of displaying love for Franzia Boxed Wines.
“We are proud to continue our support of Fisher House Foundation and leverage Franzia merchandise to make a difference in the lives of our military heroes,” said Collin Cooney, Marketing Director at Franzia. “By extending our collaboration to include this new merch collection, we are giving our Franzia ‘Franz’ an opportunity to join in and wear their support of this cause on their sleeves (or around their dog collar) while celebrating this summer.”
Since its inception in 1990, Fisher House Foundation has provided military families free temporary lodging while a loved one is hospitalized for an illness, disease or injury. Fisher Houses are located at military and VA medical centers around the world. The Foundation has saved military and veterans families an estimated $525 million in out-of-pocket costs for lodging and transportation.
“We are grateful to Franzia for their continued support,” said Fisher House Foundation President David Coker. “The team at Franzia recognizes how important it is to take care of our greatest national treasure: our military service members, veterans, and their families. Once again, they have come up with a creative, fun way to show these heroes that their service and sacrifice is appreciated.”
As has been done the past six years, Franzia will also donate $1 to Fisher House Foundation for every 5L and 3L box of Franzia Wine sold, up to $25,000, beginning on May 1 and running through July 31. In 1985, Franzia became the first wine brand in America to package its wine in a box. Today Franzia continues to strive to uphold Teresa's legacy of quality, freshness and value, winning over 150 awards from competitions and reviewers.
