MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Evan A. Shields joins BAS Holdings Investments, LLC (www.basholdings.com) as Chief Operating Officer. Evan will lead operations for the firm and its series of business verticals, including acquisitions, investor relations, marketing, asset management and human capital.
Over his career, Evan has been directly involved in the financing and management of nearly $4 billion in commercial real estate investments. Prior to joining BAS, he served as Vice President of Investor Relations for BridgeInvest, one of the Southeast’s leading private real estate lenders. With BridgeInvest, Evan helped manage nearly $600 million in investments and lead capital markets strategy, fundraising and marketing for the firm and its series of credit funds.

Before BridgeInvest, Evan served as a Fund Manager with R4 Capital Funding, one of the nation’s top affordable housing lenders. Based in New York, he helped manage a $3 billion institutional tax-exempt bond fund secured by 9,000 units of low-income housing tax credit-financed housing across 16 states in the U.S. Evan started in real estate with PGIM Real Estate Finance (Prudential), where he originated and closed more than $380 million in loans of all major asset classes across the Northeast U.S.
Evan began his career as a high school math teacher in low-income schools with Teach For America, and he continues leading with equity and a passion for public service today. He co-chairs Teach For America Miami-Dade’s Associate Board, leads UNC Kenan-Flagler’s South Florida chapter and serves on the City of North Miami’s Board of Adjustment.
Evan graduated from the University of Virginia in 2012, with a distinguished major in Political & Social Thought. He earned his Master’s in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with a full-tuition fellowship and concentrations in Real Estate and Corporate Finance.
