ATLANTA--()--For the third-consecutive year, Buffalo Wild Wings is dusting off its iconic “overtime button” for the most important football game of the season. If the Big Game goes to OT, Buffalo Wild Wings is once again offering free wings for everyone in America.

America’s sports bar has come close to paying out free wings the past two years – New England and Los Angeles were tied entering the 4th quarter in 2019 and last year’s matchup between San Francisco and Kansas City was knotted at halftime and within three points during the final frame.

If the game on February 7 in Tampa is, in fact, tied after regulation, everyone in the U.S. and Canada can redeem six free boneless or traditional wings at Buffalo Wild Wings on February 22 from 4-7 p.m. local time. The offer is available for dine-in and in-person takeout only.

“Overtime means more football, and fans deserve every second of extra action they get this year,” said Rita Patel, Chief Marketing Officer, Buffalo Wild Wings. “We’ve come so close the past two years and we can’t wait to see what happens on February 7. This could be the year!”

According to Buffalo Wild Wings gaming partner BetMGM, the overtime odds for the Big Game opened at +900 which means a $100 bet would pay out $1000 (including stake) if OT happens. That equates to the sportsbook thinking America has a 10% chance of winning free wings.

There haven’t been any overtime games this postseason but history tells us we’re due, as five of the last six years have featured at least one playoff matchup that went to OT – including the Big Game in 2017. Of note, the 2020-21 regular season had nine overtime games.

February 7 is not only home to the biggest sporting event of the year, it also marks one of the busiest days for more than 1,200 Buffalo Wild Wings sports bars around the country. Last year, the most popular sauces for the Big Game were Honey BBQ, Medium, Mild, Parmesan Garlic and Asian Zing.
