The Donate Life Community, Along With NJ Sharing Network and 14 Other Sponsors From Around the Nation, Invite Audiences to Watch the 2021 Rose Parade TV Special on New Year’s Day

LOS ANGELES--()--While the 2021 Rose Parade will not be held as usual, the spirit of the parade will remain alive in a two-hour television entertainment special airing on numerous broadcast networks on New Year’s Day. “The Rose Parade’s New Year Celebration presented by Honda” will include special musical and marching band performances, heartwarming segments related to the Rose Parade, celebrity guest appearances, special Rose Bowl game football highlights, equestrians, spectacular floats from years past and a behind-the-scenes look into the making of a float.

The TV special will air on ABC, Hallmark Channel, KTLA and RFD-TV at 8 a.m. PST, on NBC at 11 a.m. PST, and on Univision at 7 a.m. PST on Friday, Jan. 1, 2021. NJ Sharing Network, a longtime sponsor of the Donate Life float and this year’s broadcast sponsor, invites the community to tune in on New Year’s Day to watch the Donate Life floral sculpture, “Community of Life.”

“We are proud to celebrate 10 years of support and partnership with the Donate Life Rose Parade float,” said Elisse E. Glennon, executive director, NJ Sharing Network Foundation. “Over the last decade, we have honored over 40 New Jersey families who have been touched by organ and tissue donation and transplantation. We are excited to tune in this year and to continue our partnership.”

Among the highlights of the program will be a newly created “Community of Life” floral sculpture honoring 21 organ and tissue donors from across the nation as well as six donation healthcare heroes who have helped give others a second chance at life. The incredible 25-foot display—which will include individually dedicated roses carrying personal messages of love, remembrance, hope and gratitude—is the creation of Donate Life, which for the past 17 years has sponsored a Rose Parade float, raising awareness of the lifesaving power of organ, eye and tissue donation.

As the world’s most visible campaign to inspire organ, eye and tissue donation, the Donate Life Rose Parade Experience inspires viewers to help the over 1 million people in need of organ, eye or tissue transplants each year. Just one organ donor can save up to eight lives, and one tissue donor can heal as many as 75 others. Register today to become an organ, eye or tissue donor by visiting DonateLife.net.
