EventConnect Appoints John D’Orsay as Chief Executive Officer to Further the Company’s Leadership Position in North American Sports Travel Technology

LONDON, Ontario--(BUSINESS WIRE)--EventConnect, the leading provider of event and sports tourism management software, has announced today the appointment of John D’Orsay as Chief Executive Officer. John first joined EventConnect in 2016 as the company's Chief Technology Officer and was then promoted in 2018 to the role of Chief Revenue Officer.

As CTO, John played a pivotal role in building the initial platform prototype while growing the internal development team to over 25 employees in two years. As CRO, John was responsible for partner growth and staff engagement. As CEO, John will prioritize partner needs and focus on increasing market penetration as the travel sports tournaments resume. Currently, EventConnect works with more than 4000 events in over 800 North American cities and destinations.
