COLUMBIA, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Merkle (www.merkleinc.com), a leading technology-enabled, data-driven customer experience management (CXM) company, has announced the appointment of Pete Stein as the new global lead for Experience & Commerce. This strategic new role is responsible for developing, growing, and leading Merkle’s global Experience and Commerce capabilities, which will play an important role in delivering superior CXM services and integrated solutions.
Stein joins Merkle from global experience agency Huge. As CEO, he led a team of 1,200 people across 13 offices, building upon Huge’s strength as a global experience agency rooted in user-centric design to deliver unified brand experiences. A 25-year industry veteran, Stein is also a recognized leader with a proven track record of leading digital, media, and consulting firms. Prior to Huge, he served as general manager at Fullscreen Media. Additionally, Stein spent more than 18 years at Razorfish, rising to global CEO. At Razorfish, he expanded a base of digital offerings by creating new global capabilities in e-commerce, social, mobile, and programmatic media.

In his new role, Stein will be responsible for leading, recruiting, developing, and inspiring a team of top CXM experts to achieve sustainable performance and retain deep client relationships globally for Merkle’s experience and commerce services. Additionally, Stein will fill a critical global leadership role both with Merkle and within the larger dentsu Leadership team.
