Cureatr Welcomes Rose Abraham, PharmD, as Director of Clinical Pharmacy Operations

NEW YORK--()--Cureatr, Inc., a comprehensive medication management (CMM) technology and services company, announces that Rose Abraham, PharmD, has joined the company as Director of Clinical Pharmacy Operations.

Since Cureatr’s shift in focus from secure messaging and clinical transition notifications to comprehensive medication management in 2019, the company has been deploying software and services to repair the $528 billion suboptimal medication management problem in the US1. To fulfill this mission, Cureatr leverages Meds 360°. This real-time visualization of accurate medication data captures not just what’s in a patient's electronic medical record, but what the patient has actually paid for via nationwide, real-time pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) claims and pharmacy cash transactions.

Cureatr also provides clinical interventions by board-certified clinical telepharmacists with accredited residency training. Powered by Meds 360°, this comprehensive medication management clinical service works as an extension of a care team, with Cureatr pharmacists virtually assessing patients, evaluating medication care plans, and enabling real-time monitoring of medication-taking behavior. This enables healthcare providers to respond quickly when new drugs might prove dangerous or when medication non-adherence may lead to patient harm. The addition of Dr. Abraham provides Cureatr with valuable expertise and leadership as the company expands its clinical telepharmacy services.

In her role as Director of Clinical Pharmacy Operations, Dr. Abraham will oversee all of Cureatr’s pharmacy operations, including planning, recruitment, organizing, supervision, and quality assurance activities. Dr. Abraham will also play a crucial role in further developing Cureatr’s clinical pharmacy strategy and supporting business development.

“I was attracted to Cureatr because of its ability to make a profound impact in patients’ lives and clinical outcomes,” said Dr. Abraham. “With Cureatr, pharmacists can practice at the top of their license and keep patients out of the hospital.”

“We are excited to have Dr. Abraham join the Cureatr team,” said Michael Ross, MD, MHA, Cureatr’s Chief Medical Officer. “To bring our telepharmacy services to the next level, we recognized the need to bring in an expert clinical pharmacist with a strong leadership background. With Dr. Abraham, we have filled that need.”

Dr. Abraham has more than a decade of pharmacy experience, working as a clinical pharmacist in Maryland and New York where she focused on specialty pharmacy and care management via medication therapy management (MTM). Most recently, Dr. Abraham worked for Capsule, a healthcare technology business rebuilding the pharmacy from the inside out. She received her Doctorate in Pharmacy from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and is currently an Executive MBA Candidate at the Quantic School of Business and Technology, with an expected graduation year of 2021.

About Cureatr, Inc.

Cureatr is a comprehensive medication management (CMM) solutions company dedicated to repairing the United States’ $528 Billion suboptimal medication management problem. Using our technology, we ensure that prescribers have real-time, accurate current medication lists when they write new prescriptions and perform medication reconciliations; by making it easy to draw their attention to potential drug therapy problems, like therapeutic duplication, non-adherence, and substance abuse; and by generating real-time notifications for care managers when patients pick up new, potentially dangerous medications, or fail to pick up their maintenance meds. We also offer clinical services that put our technology into the hands of our own board-approved clinical pharmacists, enabling them to provide ongoing care coordination of their complex medication therapies because our vision is a world where people who need medications can access and use them safely, and effectively so that they can live long healthy lives, in the real world rather than the hospital.
