NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Snowden Lane Partners, an independent, advisor-owned, wealth advisory firm dedicated to providing client-focused advice in a values-driven culture, today announced it has been named to the Financial Times (FT) 300 Top Registered Investment Advisers list for the sixth year in a row. The list recognizes top independent RIA firms across the U.S.
With 11 offices in California, New York, Connecticut, Maryland, Texas, Florida, Illinois and Pennsylvania, Snowden Lane’s national footprint continues to grow as the firm oversees more than $5 billion in client assets.
“We feel honored to once again be recognized in the Financial Times’ 300 Top RIAs list,” said Rob Mooney, Snowden Lane’s Managing Partner and CEO. “When we launched Snowden Lane in 2011, our vision was to create a firm that empowers its advisors and puts clients first, and being recognized by the FT for the last six years continues to be a testament to that vision. We look forward to continuing our growth and distinguishing ourselves as a premiere partnership in the independent wealth advisory space.”
“While these last few months have been a challenge for everyone, we couldn’t be more proud of our entire team for their tireless work and ongoing service to clients during this difficult time,” added Greg Franks, Managing Partner, President & COO of Snowden Lane. “This pandemic has truly shined a light on the importance and advantages of being a nimble and innovative boutique wealth management firm, and we’ve been able to grow and expand our team as a result of their ongoing efforts.”
This is the seventh annual FT 300 list to be produced independently by the Financial Times in collaboration with Ignites Research, a subsidiary of the FT that provides business intelligence on the asset management industry.
To qualify for the FT 300, firms were required to have a minimum of $300 million in assets and no more than 75% of the practice’s assets could be institutional. Qualified RIAs then filled out an online application and were scored on several factors, including assets under management (AUM), AUM growth rate, years in existence and compliance records. Selection is independent and objective, and there were no fees or other considerations required of RIAs that applied for the FT 300.
Since its founding in 2011, Snowden Lane has rapidly built a national brand, attracting top industry talent from Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch, UBS, JP Morgan, Raymond James, and Wells Fargo, among others. The firm has 11 offices around the country: Pasadena and San Diego, CA; New Haven, CT; Coral Gables, FL; Chicago, IL; Pittsburgh, PA; Baltimore, Salisbury and Bethesda, MD; San Antonio, TX; as well as its New York City headquarters. Many of the firm’s advisors have been recognized as FT 401 Top Retirement advisors, and a number by Forbes/Shook as Forbes Best-In-State Wealth advisors.
