JAKARTA, Indonesia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mamikos, Indonesia’s most popular room rental app, reported a 20% boost in its overall room rental bookings as a result of its collaboration with customer engagement platform MoEngage. The partnership also saw a 30% increase in CTRs (Click-Through Rates) on Mamikos’s conversion campaigns, as well as a 9% uptick in users converting from the “Room Viewed” stage to “Booking” stage on the app.
With over 2 million rooms across 140 Indonesian cities and over 1 million app users, Mamikos faced two key challenges. The first was a high drop-off rate — around 90% of users who searched for a booking dropped off before closing the booking. The second was a gap in its ability to deliver personalized engagement based on user preferences and behavior.
The company implemented MoEngage’s engagement and analytics solution to overcome both these challenges. The goal was to analyze user behavior, map user journeys, and understand where customers were dropping off and how to plug those leaks. The final piece of this puzzle was to deliver personalized marketing communications based on these insights.
Using MoEngage’s Open Analytics feature, Mamikos was able to ensure that data across various analytics tools (Google Data Studio, Mamikos App Analytics etc) flowed seamlessly into the MoEngage platform. From there, Mamikos classified data into Web and App, and then used MoEngage’s Analytics Funnel to map different user journeys. This helped Mamikos identify exactly where they were seeing high drop-offs.
With the benefit of these key insights, as well as actionable user data, Mamikos was able to craft a far more personalized user engagement strategy. Within a fairly short period of time, Mamikos was able to see the results of this collaboration — a robust 20% increase in room rentals.
