Kebotix Named 2020 Technology Pioneer by World Economic Forum

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--()--Kebotix Inc., a technology platform company for rapid newly AI-discovered chemicals and materials, today was named a Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum.

Dedicated to improving public health, championing sustainability and eliminating the production of hazardous substances through Green Chemistry solutions, Kebotix was recognized for its potential to transform industries and make a significant impact on business and society.

Selected from an impressive pool of international candidates numbering in the hundreds, the 2020 Technology Partners are early- to growth-stage companies involved in the design, development and deployment of new technologies and innovations. These emerging innovators, representing a diverse set of industries ranging from healthcare to agriculture, are shaping the future by advancing such technologies as artificial intelligence, biotechnology, Internet of Things, robotics and blockchain, according to the Swiss-based Forum.

“We’re excited to welcome Kebotix to our 20th cohort of Technology Pioneers,” said Susan Nesbitt, head of the Global Innovators Community, World Economic Forum. “Kebotix and its fellow pioneers are developing cutting-edge technologies all over the world. Beyond their innovations, these firms are contributing greatly to improving the state of the world.”

Technology Pioneers are selected on such criteria as innovation, impact and leadership as well as the company’s relevance with the Forum’s platforms.

In accepting the honor, Kebotix CEO Dr. Jill S. Becker said, “We are tremendously proud to be selected as a Technology Pioneer, following in the footsteps of Spotify, Kickstarter, Wikimedia and other innovation giants. “We’re especially thrilled that with the recognition comes a seat at the table at various Forum meetings for two years in addition to joining the organization’s platform workstreams, many of which mirror those of Kebotix.”

The Forum’s platform to accelerate societal benefits of AI and machine learning, for one, aligns with Kebotix’s mission to usher in a new age of high-speed innovation using AI and robotics to increase the rate of discovery of new chemicals and materials that the world needs at a reduced cost. The organization’s other platforms around the future of energy and materials, advanced manufacturing and production, and health and healthcare – all parts of a more complicated and fast-changing world with interconnected problems and challenges – also support Kebotix’s efforts to change the paradigm of chemicals and materials discovery through AI and automation technology for global benefit.
