Monos adds travel-sized Ultraviolet C (UVC) sanitizer to collection of premium luggage, donating proceeds

VANCOUVER, British Columbia--()--With the spread of COVID-19 and subsequent travel bans, the travel industry has taken a significant hit world-wide. With this in mind, Canadian travel and lifestyle brand, Monos, made a quick pivot, developing a product to help consumers now and for future travel. Today, Monos announces the launch of The CleanPod, a hand-held rechargeable sanitizer that uses ultraviolet UVC light to effectively sanitize and disinfect products travellers use on a daily basis, including cell phones, bags, and more. The CleanPod is available for pre-order now, with a portion of the proceeds going to United Way Centraide Canada’s COVID-19 Community Response and Recovery Fund.

The CleanPod is a hand-held sanitizer that uses ultraviolet UVC light to kill germs and bacteria, the same type of technology often used to clean hospital equipment. When the wand is waved over a surface, the device emits UVC rays which safely kill 99.9% of pathogens. The CleanPod is sleek, weighing less than one pound, is portable, able to fit inside most bags or purses, and is easily recharged via USB.
