DentaQuest Launches Dental Consultation Hotline for Residents of Kentucky

Residents can speak with a dental professional about oral health care needs at no cost to callers throughout the COVID-19 pandemic

BOSTON--()--DentaQuest, the nation’s leading purpose-driven oral health organization, today announced the launch of a dental consultation hotline for residents of Kentucky during the COVID-19 pandemic. The service is available at no cost to callers and open to those who have questions about a wide range of oral health topics.

As dental practices across the country are reducing operations and canceling non-emergency appointments, DentaQuest is addressing the importance of maintaining optimal oral health while reducing coronavirus exposure risk to patients and providers. The hotline can serve as a valuable tool to avoid disruptions in care that may otherwise send people to already overwhelmed clinics and hospitals.

“It is critically important that people do not neglect their oral health as they seek to follow local guidance around social distancing, as ninety percent of all systemic diseases have oral manifestations,” said Todd Cruse, President of DentaQuest Care Group. “With many dental practices offering only emergency services during this unprecedented time, the hotline provides residents of Kentucky with an opportunity to consult with a dental professional and ensure their oral health needs are being met.”

DentaQuest created this hotline in partnership with dental professionals from Community Dental. These dental professionals will offer guidance, and, when possible, referrals to local providers for emergency services.

Kentucky residents can call the hotline at (800) 236-7619, which operates Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern Time (8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time).
