Recovery Industry Leader, Michael Walsh, Joins Landmark Recovery as Director of Clinical Outreach

Landmark Recovery continues to grow upper-level management team

LOUISVILLE, Ky.--()--Landmark Recovery announced today the hiring of Michael Walsh as the new Director of Clinical Outreach. Walsh has over 20 years of experience in the recovery field, and is joining Landmark to bolster their national brand and nurture relationships. With Walsh on board, Landmark plans to provide education and collaboration with national organizations to expand avenues and opportunities for people to get into long-term sustainable recovery. Landmark Recovery offers evidence-based treatment that focuses on individual’s needs, including detox, inpatient drug and alcohol rehab, intensive outpatient, and alumni and family programming.

Walsh has been CEO of Duke Behavioral Health, a consulting, intervention and coaching company, and will continue to assist them while also working on the Landmark team. He is the former President and CEO of The National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers (NAATP). As the leader of NAATP he served as a liaison to the American Society of Addiction Medicine, where he worked closely with IC&RC, the Parity Implementation Coalition, the Joint Commission and CARF.

Walsh, who has lectured nationally and internationally, is a graduate of Boston College, with a Masters degree in Substance Abuse Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. He is a Certified Intervention Professional and holds his Masters CAP in Florida. He also sits on the boards of C4 Recovery Foundation and FARR (Florida Association of Recovery Residences).

I’ve learned a lot in my years of working in the recovery field, and I want to take all of that experience and help Landmark grow into the national leader they’re on track to become,” said Walsh. “The more facilities they operate, the more individuals we will be able to help and that is truly the end goal.”

At Landmark, Walsh will spearhead clinical outreach through speaking engagements, working with hospitals, businesses, families and communities to expand access to care.
