UPPER SADDLE RIVER, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Two founders of Health & Wellness Partners, LLC, (HWP) have been honored as “Luminaries” by the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA). Audrey Pezzuti, Chief Information Officer, and Bonnie Welsch, Chief Operations Officer, join HWP President Jani Hegarty in receiving this distinction, awarded annually by the HBA. To be recognized as a Luminary, a woman must have more than 20 years of relevant professional experience, actively mentor others while advancing women’s careers, exhibit dedication to the healthcare industry, and be “a shining example of transformational leadership,” among other criteria.
Pezzuti and Welsch have made enduring contributions to HWP, helping transform and shape its success. Through Pezzuti’s extensive and ever-increasing knowledge of advances in computer and interactive technology, and Welsch’s experience in developing and implementing operational strategies, both have driven large-scale improvements for the company and its clients.
“HWP has come so far since we first opened the doors,” said Pezzuti. “I’m very proud of what we’ve all accomplished together.”
Pezzuti and Welsch have always helped their team members succeed and advance, and guided them to reach their professional goals. HWP is a certified women’s business enterprise (WBENC), and under the three partners has flourished since its inception in 2005, growing from a handful of employees to nearly 130.
Pezzuti and Welsch also encourage volunteerism among their employees. Giving back to the community is a core founding principle at HWP, and the company provides every full-time employee with 21 hours of paid time off each year to volunteer for worthy causes. Pezzuti and Welsch are actively involved in these efforts.
“I am honored to be recognized by HBA,” said Welsch. “None of this would be possible if we didn’t have such an incredible team to work with. I know that many of them will be Luminaries themselves someday.”
