Leading Telehealth Counseling Provider, Lionrock, Launches Free COVID-19 Anxiety Support Meetings via Video Conference

REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--()--Lionrock Recovery, the leader in telehealth services for substance use disorders, today announced the launch of its free COVID-19 Anxiety Support Meetings. This new support meeting will be available starting Monday, March 23 and meet several times weekly. Similar to Lionrock therapy sessions, the COVID-19 Anxiety Support Meetings will be held via secure video conference, allowing participants to join from the privacy of home.

“We’ve heard from hundreds of our own clients, as well as colleagues, friends and family, that they’re struggling with anxiety about the COVID-19 pandemic. We decided to share our expertise in delivering mental health services online, by secure live video, to as many people as we can reach,” said Peter Loeb, Co-founder and CEO of Lionrock. “Anxiety is fear, and people are struggling with fear about the virus itself, fear about their loved ones, and fear about their livelihoods. We can’t fix those problems, but using our expertise in telehealth, we can reach people almost anywhere in their time of need, and teach them coping skills to make it through this difficult time.”

Lionrock’s COVID-19 Anxiety Support Meeting sessions will be an hour long, held multiple times a week and accessible for free internationally. Support meeting session capacity is limited to 50 and available on a first come, first served basis. Counselors from Lionrock’s programs will run the sessions and focus them on education and coping skills. Participants need an Internet-connected device with camera and a private place from which to access the group.

The COVID-19 Anxiety Support Meetings schedule and video link to access can be found at www.lionrockrecovery.com.
