Business Council for Peace (Bpeace) Announces Short List of Best Organizations for Advancing Women

 Global Finalists Include Adweek, Ellevest, Indego Africa, Refinitiv, Voulez Capital and Women in Trucking

NEW YORK--()--The global competition conducted by the Business Council for Peace (#Bpeace) identified 19 finalists advancing women in business and global communities.

The Bpeace Women Forward Awards recognizes the trailblazing organizations who are leading change and providing mentorship, capital and support enabling women to thrive in the workplace and in society.

19 finalists in the Outstanding Workplace, Next Generation Workplace, Business Cultural Transformation, Financial Catalyst and Industry Leadership categories have advanced to the final stage of judging for the Bpeace 2020 Women Forward Awards. Gold, silver and bronze winners will be announced in April 2020.

Girls Voices Initiative – Nigerian nonprofit educating girls and women about their legal and constitutional rights

Global Fund for Widows – Empowering widows and female heads of households in India, Kenya and Egypt to overcome poverty through micro-finance

Indego Africa – Social enterprise supports women in Rwanda through economic empowerment and education

Me Time – Innovative flexible childcare service provider in Chicago

Pipeline Equity Inc. – Developer of the PipelineTM software platform making gender equity achievable within organizations

Refinitiv – Global provider of financial markets data and infrastructure

The Coaching Fellowship – Nonprofit empowering young women leaders through professional coaching

The Pineapple Collaborative – Industry association that connects, supports and educates women in the food industry.

Voulez Capital Partners LLP – European venture capital exclusively for female founders

Women on Boards Project – Nonprofit provides women with the tools and networks to reach the board room level

Women on Wings – Netherlands-based nonprofit creates working opportunities for women in rural areas of India

Women in Trucking Association, Inc. – Industry association encouraging the employment of women in the trucking industry

YellowWebMonkey – Web design agency managed by female West Point graduates providing flexible work/life balance for its employees

Bpeace CEO Toni Maloney noted, “This year we attracted 50% more nominees than last year working in over 12 countries. From nonprofits empowering adolescent girl leaders in Nigeria to venture capitalist firms sourcing and funding women-led business, and industry associations supporting women in the trucking industry, this year’s nominees highlight the diverse and dedicated organizations who are putting women first.”
