Klick Health Named a Best Managed Company for 12th Straight Year

Company continues to differentiate itself through growth, innovation, and unique people-centric culture

TORONTO--()--Klick Health has been named a Best Managed Company for the 12th consecutive year. The company was also included in the Best Managed Companies’ Platinum Club for the sixth consecutive year for its innovative and entrepreneurial world-class business practices, as well as its capability to invest in R&D, tools and proprietary equipment, and corporate social responsibility.

Klick President Lori Grant said, "We hold our legacy as a Best Managed Company and Platinum Club member in the highest regard because it underscores our entrepreneurial spirit, refusal to accept the status quo, and focus on optimizing for long-term success. It reinforces that when you keep putting your people first, amazing things will keep happening. It also highlights why we are so relentless in our ongoing quest to provide our people with a rewarding, productive and healthy workplace.”

This year’s Best Managed winners are a testament to the success found when businesses are deliberate about seizing the opportunity to do better; they invest in game-changing technology, commit to their corporate purpose and social responsibility, and solidify their place on the world stage,” said Kari Lockhart, Partner, Deloitte Private and Co-Leader, Canada’s Best Managed Companies program.

Best Managed Platinum companies have consistently raised the bar on what it means to succeed today and in the future,” said Dino Medves, Senior Vice President and Head, CIBC Commercial Banking. “They set the highest of standards when it comes to best-in-class customer service, a highly engaged and diverse workforce and being able to give back to the communities in which they live and work.”

Supporting culture, innovation, and double-digit growth

Over the last year the 22-year-old independent company has spearheaded a number of new initiatives to support its award-winning culture, innovation, and double-digit growth, including bringing bestselling authors, like Guy Kawasaki, Kim Scott, and Rohit Bhargava, into the office for Klick Authors Series to encourage thinking differently, experimentation, and the development of new ideas.

Klick Labs research was published in several peer-reviewed academic journals, such as the Journal of Environmental Psychology, Perspectives on Medical Education, Journal of Medical Internet Research, and International Journal of Social Robotics, and npj Digital Medicine.

In December, Klick’s HealthVoyagerTM platform collaboration with Boston Children’s Hospital won Eli Lilly and Company's inaugural Digital Health Innovation Challenge for Inflammatory Bowel Disease. That same month, Sensei Labs was named the winner of the Canadian Comet Competition by Ingram Micro Cloud and Microsoft Canada, earning the distinction of representing Canada at Ingram Micro’s global competition.

Last year, Klick won 11 Best Workplace awards and is continuing down the same path this year. To date in 2020, the company has been recognized as an Ad Age Best Place to Work, a Best Workplace for Inclusion, an Employee Recommended Workplace, and a Most Admired Corporate Culture.

About Canada’s Best Managed Companies

Canada's Best Managed Companies continues to be the mark of excellence for Canadian-owned and managed companies with revenues over $25 million. Every year since the launch of the program in 1993, hundreds of entrepreneurial companies have competed for this designation in a rigorous and independent process that evaluates their management skills and practices. The awards are granted on four levels: 1) Canada’s Best Managed Companies new winner (one of the new winners selected each year); 2) Canada’s Best Managed Companies winner (award recipients that have re-applied and successfully retained their Best Managed designation for two additional years, subject to annual operational and financial review); 3) Gold Standard winner (after three consecutive years of maintaining their Best Managed status, these winners have demonstrated their commitment to the program and successfully retained their award for 4-6 consecutive years); 4) Platinum Club member (winners that have maintained their Best Managed status for seven years or more). Program sponsors are Deloitte Private, CIBC, Canadian Business, Smith School of Business, and TMX Group. For more information, visit www.bestmanagedcompanies.ca.
